The deities of the week

Thirteen medallions fill the great pavement of pavilion IV: the seven gods of the week, Narcissus, Ganymede, four Triton-Nereid pairs. The seasons sit in the corners. Hunts run along the border.

It is one of the villa's best-preserved mosaics. Faces, attributes and a Helvetian notable's celestial calendar are still readable.
